Daniela Guerreiro is a Portuguese visual artist who studied Visual Arts at the University of the Algarve and later Painting at the Fine Arts Centre in Lisbon, where she now lives. By tackling taboo subjects such as social exclusion, depression, insecurity or violence, Daniela is a figurative painter who aims to convey her ‘naked and raw’ vision of reality and the world. Through the use of unconventional models, she conveys a hidden and raw beauty, working with colour and the interaction between light and dark. While her oil paintings individualise society, Daniela’s murals address a broader, collective environment.
