The first place that welcomed WOOL outside its territory was LXFactory, undeniably the most creative and artistic center of the capital of Portugal, Lisbon, which was installed in an old flour mill and later printer industry, a place filled with old and gray façades.
The first edition of the action baptized as WOOL ON TOUR and that would happen twice a year, occurred in May 2012 and the format designed was to challenge a group of artists from different backgrounds and professional experiences, to work side by side for a week, sharing a whole variety of practices and techniques.
We can firmly affirm that this ‘Art Laboratory’ was the birthplace of many of today’s most respected Portuguese urban artists.
